TroubleShooting - Issues with Alice after waking up from Sleep mode

Alice won't work well after the computer turned into sleep mode. But there's a way to handle that.

On occasion when waking your computer from sleep mode, Alice will re-open to an error message and will need to force closed and reopened to function. This issue is often a side effect of the computer going into sleep mode.

You can take the following steps to disable sleep mode -
  1. Go to your Control Panel and into the Power Options
  2. Select either the Balanced or High performance power plan and click on the Change plan settings for the selected option

  3. For the Put the computer to sleep option, click on the drop down box and select Never.
  4. Once you have selected Never, click on the Save changes button.

Please note: We HIGHLY recommend that you close Alice at the end of each day as we often do Updates late in the evenings. Leaving Alice open may cause Alice to not update properly and generate errors or unwanted behavious.
