The ability to create Quotes in Alice also allows you to take advantage of pre-configuring Kit templates. In order to quickly and easily add every item you need for a client Proposal.
Kit templates were designed to ease the workflow of quoting, but more particularly to avoid the conflicts a rushed proposal can incur, when the final invoice does not reflect the initial quote.
For example: when you missed crucial items in the initial quote due to employee mistakes.
How do you configure Kit templates?
In order to configure your Kit templates, here are the steps to follow:

In your Alice Configuration, go to the Inventory tab, and select the ‘Kit templates’ button.
2. Select the (+) Item button, in order to create a new Kit template.

Name your Kit template, and click the ‘Apply’ button.

Once created, select the ‘Elements selection’ option.

3. You will notice this Kit items selection menu offers multiple options for your Kit template creation:
1. You can rename your Kit template.
2. You can add any product from your Catalogue or an existing Service with the search function.
3. Once you have selected a given Product or Service, you can select its condition (N) for new, or (U) for used
4. You can select the quantity needed, even for serialized items
5. In order to add it to the Kit template, select the (+)
6. The arrows give you the option to modify any selected product or service’s placement in the Kit template order
7. If you made an error, you can remove any selected item from your template by clicking the (-)
8. In order to save your kit template, select ‘Ok’, you can also go back into the kit item selection menu to modify or add to a given template.
How do you add Kit templates to a Quote?
In the Invoice module, with the ‘Quote’ option selected, proceed to add your client’s contact.

To add a Kit template to your Quote, select the ‘Bundle’ button on the right hand side.
2. A Kit template search window will appear, and allow you to search for the needed template, and add it to your proposal by clicking ‘select’.
3. You can then proceed to add any missing items to your quote.
4. When finalizing, you have the option to select a ‘Proposal template’ to print or email a professional quote to your client.
