Getting Started with Kangaroo in Alice

The first step in using Kangaroo in Alice, once it's connected to your system, is to create a new contact. After creating the contact, add them to the invoice to proceed to the next step. If you have existing contacts who wish to join Kangaroo, ensure they have a valid email address or phone number before adding them to the invoice.

When creating a new contact, or using an existing contact, the contact MUST have a valid phone number or e-mail.

Once you add the existing or newly created contact to the invoice, a prompt will appear confirming the client's consent to share their information with Kangaroo.

Clicking Yes will add the contact and their information to the Kangaroo account.
Clicking No will prevent the contact from being created in Kangaroo.

Once consent is given, simply complete a transaction with the contact for them to start collecting points.

NOTE: Once the transaction is completed, the point balance will update in Kangaroo and Alice after the next synchronization. This occurs every 3 minutes (e.g., 12:03, 12:06, etc.).

Seeing and Using Kangaroo Points in Alice

Once a client has Kangaroo points, you will be able to see their balance in Alice as soon as the contact is added to the invoice. The displayed balance represents the total amount available for use with the Kangaroo payment method, which is created automatically when your system is connected to Kangaroo.

NOTE: Currently, the Kangaroo point total visible in Alice is displayed only as a usable dollar amount. The exchange rate for points to dollar can be configured in the Kangaroo Dashboard.

Once in the payment window, you can use the Kangaroo payment method to allow the customer to redeem their points on an invoice. Clicking the payment button will bring up a calculator where you can enter the amount the client wishes to use.

NOTE: It is not possible to use an amount higher then what the client has available.
